Jamie Gardner Operations & Managing Director,
Jamie has been in transport of some kind for over 30 Years, starting life in emergency aircraft spares distribution which manifested itself into passenger transport in 1989 and he has been involved in moving passengers ever since. Jamie holds the companies Operators Licence, has certificates of professional competence (CPC) in freight, passenger transport, national and international he also studied for his MBA at Putteridge Business School. Jamie is a problem solver and an expert logistical planning.
Rose Carville Sales and Marketing Director
Rose is also a very experienced problem solver, initially working for 17 years in the IT industry creating hardware and software solutions for blue chip organisations. Rose has been instrumental in using her knowledge gained in her former career in helping us develop our quote and book platform. Rose switched to the transport sector some 13 years ago and now has vast knowledge of the passenger transport industry and is expert in product delivery and managing service delivery, including logistical planning for our customers. Rose is often seen at large events coordinating passenger transport ensuring service delivery is to the standards expected.
Bob Uppal Allocations Manager
Bob is fast approaching 40, even though he won’t admit it. Bob became a taxi driver in and around London at the ripe old age of 18 and eventually learned to drive a desk in the allocations department of the taxi firm he worked for. When Bob was 25 he took a job with Hallmark Chauffeur Services in Luton, allocating the companies 300 cars and 20 coaches that moved Airline crew from and to every airport in the country. By the time Bob was 30, he was running the allocations department. We were lucky enough to be able to recruit Bob to be responsible for all the allocations for cars and coaches for Coachhire4U and has been with us for 5 years.
Mario Maz Senior Operations
Maz as he is affectionately called, in his former years and for more than 20 was heavily involved in event management coordinating and managing large numbers of people at music and sporting events at venues and Night clubs across the UK, similar skills are required in passenger transport operations and Maz switched to an operational role 10 years ago. Maz’s experience in managing day to day operations has allowed the company to grow, Maz and his colleagues ensure, that what is committed to, in the sales office, is delivered. More importantly when a rare problem occurs Maz and his colleagues have the experience and cool heads to calmly identify the problem establish a solution and implement it. There are always going to be issues in transport beyond normal control and a measure of a good company is how quickly these issues are dealt with. We are fortunate to have an operations team with vast experience and the ability work efficiently, effectively in the pursuit of excellence. Check, Cross Check and triple check is the motto.
Val Foley Senior Travel Planner
Val is a very experienced travel planner, she has been with the company from the start and worked with Jamie and Rose in previous ventures. Val’s experience is unrivalled, destination knowledge, route planning is the top of her skills along a great personality who is very engaging. Val has assisted in so many events coordinating, timing, general planning and has been the backbone of the company’s sales and growth especially in the early years when she was a lone soldier. When planning events journeys there is no substitute for experience Val has customers coming back to her time and time again.
Faye Webber Travel planner
Faye, joined the company some 5 years ago to work with and assist Val, Faye came from a retail background. In the time Faye has been with us she has developed her own client base and gained vast knowledge working with Val, the operations and allocation teams. Faye can now be classed as a very experienced travel planner in her own right.
Wajid Khan Senior Developer
Wajid, has been with us for 8 years. He completed his degree in algorithms/coding and visualisation with Bedfordshire University. we recruited Wajid soon after his graduation and embarked on a journey to create a quote and booking engine for our industry. On the surface this appears to be a simple task, but we soon realised it was far from simple, there are so many elements to consider, size of vehicle will determine the route, which will determine distance, the distance will determine time, also geographic location will determine time, i.e. the average speed in central London is very slow compared to Norfolk, these elements then have to consider driving hours regulations set by the DVSA, which then will determine the number of drivers required and breaks taken add this to the vehicle operating cost, which are all different and hey presto you have a price. But then consider how many potential routes there are in Europe. hundreds of thousands if not millions. Each route potentially different with many variances depending on vehicle size. Wajid used his work with Coachhire4U to obtain his PHD and has now not started down the road to secure his professorship. In addition, the company has recruited two additional post graduates to assist in IT, web development social media marketing who are being mentored by Wajid, (Mano and Aishah) there will be a 3rd joining the team in 2017 who will become Wajid’s protégé. In the time Wajid has worked with coachhire4U he has also become extremely proficient in online marketing, helping in the design and creation of the companies, websites and an expert in Google ad-words.
